Collection: Security High Vis Vest Australia

Visible doesn't have to mean vulnerable. Our security high vis vest range includes two NIJ-tested hi vis stab proof vest options plus a non-armoured high-visibility security vest, so you can equip every role correctly without paying for protection nobody needs.

Why Choose a High Vis Vest?

A high vis stab proof vest has to do two jobs at once: keep you visible at a distance and hold up to whatever the job throws at you. The options in this security high vis range are NIJ-tested for stab resistance (see our testing process for how that works). The third, the high vis security vest, is built for presence rather than protection. Check the description if stab resistance is non-negotiable for your role.

Between the armoured options, one offers the weight and flexibility for a full shift on your feet; the other is built for a more robust, multi-strike level of protection where the risk profile is higher. Both are built to carry a full security loadout without the extra weight or hardware getting in the way of fit or movement.

If you are still working out what protection level your role calls for, our classifications guide explains what each NIJ rating actually covers. For a more discreet alternative to a hi vis stab proof vest, our concealable range is worth a look; for other lower-visibility roles, our security stab vests collection covers the rest of the range.

Want Help Finding the Right Product?

If stab protection is a condition of your role, whether that is door work, event control or corrections, one of the high vis stab proof vest options is the right call: the lighter build suits long shifts where comfort matters most; the more heavily rated build suits roles carrying a greater risk of a bladed weapon.

If your role calls for visibility and equipment-carrying capacity without a protection requirement, such as traffic management or car park supervision, our non-armoured high vis security vest covers that ground.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a high vis stab proof vest legal to own in Australia?

Body armour ownership rules vary by state, and VIC, TAS and NSW have specific requirements that may not apply elsewhere in the country. The non-stab high vis security vest is a separate product category, but it is still worth confirming your state's current position regardless of which option you choose.

We are not able to offer legal advice, so check with your state police or Attorney-General's Department before ordering. You can also ask our team about compliance requirements if you are unsure where to look.

What is the difference between the hi vis stab proof vest options?

They all use NIJ-tested stab-resistant panels, but are built around a trade-off common across our range. One is built around weight and flexibility; the others for a more robust level of multi-strike protection, suited to higher-risk roles.

Neither is the better option outright - it depends on what level of defence you are after.

Can I run a full security loadout on any vest in this range?

Yes. Check product specifications for product compatibility.

If you are running a radio, cuffs, a torch and a body cam together, spread the weight evenly across the attachment points rather than clustering it on one shoulder.

Check our accessories range for compatible attachments if you need to add anything before your first shift.

Can I add my company logo or security patches to a high vis vest?

Yes. Vests in this range can accept front and back security patches, and for security companies wanting a consistent look across the team, we also offer custom printing and embroidery as a separate service. Check item descriptions for customisable space availability.

If you need branded vests for a group order, contact our team.

What’s involved in maintaining the vest?

The outer covers can be washed via a low-temperature machine wash. The armour panels should never be machine washed; remove and wipe with a damp cloth only.

Follow the care instructions supplied with your vest to keep both the protection and the visibility performing as they should.
